ROUTE 40
Turn left at the Subway in Lillooet to drive Route 40.
It follows the Bridge River/Carpenter Lake for 100km on a rough paved/gravel road.
Expect blind corners and mountain conditions.
Please use caution and drive with your lights on.
Watch for wildlife and falling rock.
Always check drivebc.ca before leaving for updates.
No services or cell range after Lillooet.
1.5 - 2 hours to Gold Bridge.

HURLEY FOREST SERVICE ROAD
Hurley is open.The Hurley is only open for half the year and is a rough gravel road, often only passable in 4wd. 2wd not reccommended. After crossing the Lillooet River 25km up the Pemberton Meadows, the Hurley climbs over Railroad Pass (5 500ft) and down to Gold Bridge 55kms away. Expect mountain driving conditions. Drive with your headlights on and use caution. Watch for oncoming traffic and wildlife. Please use 4x4 when climbing to avoid washboards.
No services or cell range after Pemberton.
1.5 - 2 hours to Gold Bridge.
