SOUTH CHILCOTIN TRAILS
Trails are all multi-use, expect to see hikers, horses, mountain bikers and on some trails motor bikes and ATVs. Park bondaries and certain singletrack trails are closed to motorized vehicles. Watch for signage, know where you're riding.
Be
prepared for changing mountain conditions. Leave no trace, pack it out!
MULTI-USE TRAIL ETIQUITTE
Bikers yield to hikers and horses. Hikers yield to horses.
Move off the trail and wait on the down hill side when yielding to horses.
Stay on designated trails. Do not tear-up the fragile alpine eco-system.
Be cautious at blind corners. Respect all other users.
Watch for wildlife, make noise on the trail, this is grizzly bear habitat.

SPRUCE LAKE via Gun Creek Trail
Starts: Jewel Creek Bridge 3500’Ends: S end Spruce Lake 5200’
26km return trip
This cross country classic follows Gun Creek through aspen and pine groves for 11.5km until the Spruce fork branches up to the right and climbs 600ft in 1km to the Potato Patch junction just S of the lake. The Gun Meadows trail forks to the SE of here. It’s highly recommended as the descent, as seen in the photo. View the South Chilcotin Trail Map for the trails around Spruce Lake. Can also be done as a float drop.

WARNER LAKE via float plane drop
Starts: Warner Lake 6100’Ends: Tyaughton Lake 3300’
43km one way
Starts on the sub-alpine Warner Pass trail and joins up with the Gun Creek Trail at the Deer Pass junction. Ride along rocky singletrack past spectacular Trigger and Hummingbird Lakes. A short side trip up to Spruce is possible at the 15km fork. Ride past Jewel Bridge and take the Lower Gun trail to Gun Creek Rd. 10km of road back up to Tyax.
FLOAT DROP SEASON JUNE - SEPTEMBER

LORNA LAKE via float plane drop
Starts: Lorna Lake 6300’Ends: Tyaughton Lake 3300’
High point: Deer Pass 7600’
58km one way
Trail crosses Big Creek (no bridge!) and climbs up and over 7300’ Lorna Pass to join the Tyaughton Creek trail below at 5500’. Cross the creek at the 10km mark to start the 9km climb up and over Deer Pass (7600) to the junction with the Gun Creek Trail at 5700’ near Trigger Lake. Ride 29km of mostly buff singletrack down to Gun Creek Rd. 10km of road back up to Tyax.
FLOAT DROP SEASON JUNE - SEPTEMBER

TAYLOR PEARSON LOOP
Starts: Hornel Rd (S Tyaughton Lake) 3300’Ends: Hornel Rd 3300’
High Point: Camel Pass 7000’
28km return loop
This loop starts out with 8km of road riding past Tyax Lodge to Taylor Creek Rd. Follow for 4km to the trail head. Trail is an old mining double track for 7km to Taylor Cabin. Take a left at the cabin and climb up singletrack to Camel Pass for amazing views followed by 8km and 3700’ of downhill fun through the meadows on the High trail to Pearson Fire Rd.

HIGH TRAIL LOOP
Starts: Hornel 3300' or Jewel 3500’Ends: Hornel 3300' or Jewel 3500’
High Point: Windy Pass 7200’
44km return loop
Start from Hornel Rd or Jewel Bridge which are linked via the lower Gun Creek trail and Gun Creek Rd (13km). This trail starts at the Potato Patch, S of Spruce Lake and climbs 5km/2000’ to Windy Pass then descends for 7km/2300’ to the lower Eldorado basin. A short climb and drop another 8km/3200’ back down to Hornel Rd. Windy Pass can also be done reverse. Start at Taylor exit via Gun Creek Trail.
